How to Request Account Deletion

If you want your Speech Companion account deleted, email our developer support team. We will use your email address to identify the account and may ask you to verify that you own it before deletion is completed.

1. Email developer@speechimprovement.com from the email address used for your Speech Companion account.
2. Use the subject line Speech Companion Account Deletion Request.
3. Include the email address associated with your account and, if helpful, your display name.
4. We will confirm the request, verify account ownership if needed, and process deletion.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your Speech Companion account, including where applicable:

• Account profile information, such as name, email address, role, and settings.
• Speech Companion projects, folders, scripts, notes, outlines, and preparation content.
• Practice sessions, recordings, transcripts, timing data, and related session metadata.
• AI chat history, prompts, generated content, comments, and coach/client collaboration records tied to your account.
• Notification tokens and app-specific sync data associated with your account.

What Data May Be Retained

Some information may be retained for a limited period or as required by law, including:

• Backup copies that are automatically overwritten or deleted on normal backup schedules.
• Security, fraud-prevention, audit, or system logs that do not need to remain directly visible in your account.
• Payment, tax, accounting, or business records where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business records.
• Messages or shared content that another user has separately retained, if deletion would affect that other user's own account records.

Timing

We aim to respond to deletion requests within a reasonable time. Most requests are processed within 30 days after we verify the account owner. Some backup, legal, or security records may take longer to expire from all systems.

Deleting Some Data Without Deleting Your Account

You may also delete individual projects, recordings, or other content from within Speech Companion where those features are available. If you need help deleting specific data without deleting your full account, email developer@speechimprovement.com.
